Recently, Ty has really gotten into watching Little Einsteins. During one particular episode, the Einsteins must save an unfortunate monkey whose tail has gotten stuck in a tree from the volcano which is about to erupt. This piqued Ty's interest in volcanoes, and we have been learning about volcanoes every day since. A trip to the library supplied us with several science books and photos of the world's volcanoes. We've rented volcano documentaries through netflix, and spent a few hours on youtube and National Geographic's website watching video of volcanoes. A little more research, and now Venus is Ty's favorite planet because of it is home to so many volcanoes. Every day Ty says, "Mama, know what?" "What Ty?" "Bolcanoes are berry dangerous! If the bolcano is about to berupt, you better run, or the hot lava will burn you up!"

It's cute that he is so interested in volcanoes, but we're about ready for him to move on to a new topic!

Ty's right, volcanoes are very dangerous. What a smart little boy, already learning about all that sciency stuff.
