Ty, or "Tom the Tree Guy"

So we went to my mom's house the other day, and her tree guy, Tom was there pruning her trees. Well, Ty was enthralled by Tom's tree expertise. Ty found two sticks and put them together, pretending they were shears, and began trimming the branches that had fallen on the ground. Grandma had a pair of relatively safe shears that she found and let Ty have. (But don't tell Ty they're from Grandma, he insists that Tom gave them to him.)

Ty trimmed and trimmed and trimmed. And then he picked up all of the twigs and branches and hauled them to the big orange bucket, which he then hauled to Tom's truck to be dumped.
This went on for a good hour. Then it was lunchtime and after that, we headed home. Once we got home, Ty declared that our trees needed some pruning. Outside he went, shears in hand and he trimmed any and all weeds that we had. The entire time he was working in the yard he made me call him "Tom."
