Ogden Nature Center - Tadpole Pond Exploration

I'm very lucky to have landed myself a summer job as a teacher/naturalist at the Ogden Nature Center. Thanks to Weber County's RAMP tax, the ONC is able to offer free admission every Saturday this summer. I am in charge of the activities on those Saturdays. Last week we had a great activity, we explored Tadpole Pond. We had nets, jars, magnifying lenses, and an observation pool. Sylvester brought the kiddos and we got to play in the pond. We saw frogs, turtles, tadpoles, nymphs, fish, and snails. Ty had the best time and didn't want to leave.

Feel free to join us for more fun Saturdays at the Ogden Nature Center! Saturdays 9am-4pm. There will be a wildlife presentation every Saturday at 10am and our activity begins at 1pm. Next week, July 10th we will be making a craft, flower fairies. Check the ONC website for a complete schedule, info, and directions.

You are an awesome mom, getting down with the slimy animals. My boys would absolutely love it there. We fished out a bullfrog tadpole this weekend.
