Ty's Big Bike

Last October, Lucia, Javi, and Cristobal gave Ty a big boy bike for his birthday. It took him a while for his feet to reach the pedals, but the growing is now done, so the practice can begin! Every morning we go for a walk along the river; usually Ty rides his trike, but Dad suggested taking the big boy bike and Ty agreed. On went the helmet, and a few shaky moments later, he was on his way!

Every now and then he'd get stuck in that awkward position with one foot up and one foot down and no leverage to get the pedals moving again, but with a gentle push, crisis averted.

Look at him go! Today he took the bike on our walk again, and he just left us in his dust! He's not even afraid to go down hills... (Dad thinks that's badass - I'm not so sure.) Thank you Lucia, Javi, and Cristobal!!!

Yep, kids love bikes and they learn real fast. Now I just need Tatsu to learn how to use the brakes so he can stop dragging his feet on the ground to stop.
