For Christmas last year, Ty's great grandpa got him an awesome Lionel Train. It was a huge hit Christmas morning, but was swiftly taken away when Ty began throwing tantrums and aggressively banging the train.
Ty has matured a lot in the past seven months, so I thought we'd give the train another go. Yesterday we brought out the box and assembled the track, loaded up the batteries (8 batteries in all - holy moley!), and connected the train.
So far so good! No huge meltdowns yet, although there have been frustrations. Ty's absolutely loving the train and I've barely seen him except to eat and for our daily morning walk along the river. We'll see how long this lasts... Maybe I'll have to take the train away just so I can spend time with my M.I.A. son!
